Potcreek Meadow Farm’s Junior Sportsmanship Award

Presented during the HITS Thermal Grande Finale, Potcreek’s Junior Sportsmanship Award recognizes the junior rider that consistently demonstrates the highest level of conduct, attitude, and especially courtesy, appropriate for a competitor in equestrian sport. A variety of observers provide input to the selection process during the circuit’s 8 weeks of competition, including the award’s sponsor, show management and officials, office/event staff, and other competitors.

“These juniors will potentially represent our sport around the world and it is important to recognize and reward their positive and respectful outlook and behavior in what can be very challenging conditions,” says Cara Anthony. “One day you can be on top, and the next you can be picking yourself up off the ground. A sincere smile and kind word for others goes a long way in this sport, and in life…”
